Burning River

This is an enlarged section from one of my paintings.  There were very many fantastic images that I zoomed in on and could not help but create a few art pieces out off, for printing.

About the painting:  I painted this one in 2001.  The colours are bright and vivid and I see and feel the burning flames creeping onto the river, hence the name of the piece.  Even though I've never experienced the fear of seeing a forest fire in real life, the vision for me is clear.   Even the swift rivers would feel the power filled heat of the unforgiving flames from such an event.

I treasure dearly my outdoor adventures and always take care not to leave any sparks in the charcoal pits before we depart our site.  I respect the nature and its wonder filled beauty, and in return it is kind to me from every angle.

Dimension: Original is 15" x 18" (38 x 46 cm) on a Canvas Panel.  This section is zoomed in on.  The copy can be enlarged and transferred on a canvas of various sizes.

Choice of my colour palette: Throughout the entire painting I used many rich and vibrant colours.  In this specific section I zoomed in on colourful flames blending with the water of a swift river.  Its a more dramatic piece.

Result: A "Burning River" is the best way I can describe it!  Even though it is dramatic in many ways, I still can't help but to love this piece.
