EYE MISS MY BIRDY

EYE MISS MY BIRDY...HE DIED A FEW MONTHS AGO AND NOW WHENEVER I HEAR BIRDS SING I THINK IT IS HIM, BUT IT IS NOT. SOMETIMES IT MAKES ME HAPPY TO HEAR THEM CHATTER AND OTHER TIMES IT MAKES ME KIND OF SAD. I AM GLAD THAT I HAD THE PRIVILEGE TO KNOW CLOWNIE. I WOULD HAVE NEVER KNOWN HOW WONDERFUL THESE CREATURES ARE UNLESS I HAD ONE OF MY OWN. I WANNA BE A BIRDY AND FLY AWAY TO BE WHERE HE IS. CLOWNIE WAS MY COCKATIEL, HE WAS 17 YEARS OLD. BIRDS ARE GREAT. THEY LOVE SO MUCH AND HAVE SWEET TENDER HEARTS, BEYOND WHAT MOST HUMANS CAN COMPREHEND. I LOVE THEIR FAITH AND THEIR NATURAL JOY, THE WAY THEY SING IN THE MORNING OR BEFORE IT IS GOING TO RAIN...THE WAY THEY FALL IN LOVE IS INCREDIBLE AND SO IS THE WAY THEY PLAY. ONE OF MY FAVORITE THINGS IS TO WATCH THEM TAKE A BATH, THEY ENJOY WATER SO MUCH. GOD BLESS MY CLOWNIE, NOW THE HEAVENS BELONG TO HIM.

Christine, Thanks for your comments on The Lion of Judah, I knew from the start it was going to be special, and it just kept developing into a wonderful testimony, so I decided to keep it for display so everyone would know how much we owe Our God, I am so impressed with your work. So sorry to hear about Clownie, I know how this feels I am also an animal and bird lover. They become just like family. Lots of people don't understand that. Everytime I lose one it is devistating. God Bless and keep you in His loving arms. We are truely His children. Love to you, Diane Deason

This work is beautiful. If you made it while your clownie had died he was a very beautiful birdy.

Artist Reply: OOO! THANK YOU SO MUCH! YOU ARE MAKING ME CRY. YES, CLOWNIE WAS A VERY BEAUTIFUL COCKATIEL. HE USED TO LOVE TO LET YOU RUB HIS HEAD WITH YOUR NOSE, HE WOULD NIP AT YOU IF YOU DIDN'T. INSISTANT BIRD, LOVED ATTENTION AND LOVED TO MAKE NOISES LIKE A GUINEA PIG I ONCE HAD THAT HE LOVED. HE WOULD SIT ON THE CORNER OF THE GUINEA PIGS CAGE AND JUST LOOK AT HIM WITH LOVE. FUNNY THING. CLOWNIE LOVED TAKING A BATH ALSO. HE WOULD PUT UP ONE WING AND THEN THE OTHER TO BE SHOWERED WITH SPRAY. BUT THE MOST AMAZING TIME WAS THE DAY I HAD HIM IN THE SHOWER WITH ME SITTING ON MY SHOULDER, HE LOVED TO CATCH THE SPLASH. I REMEMBER THE SUN SPARKLING IN THROUGH THE WINDOW CREATING RAINBOWS IN EACH DROP OF WATER. I SAID, "CLOWNIE YOU LOVE YOUR BATH DON'T YOU!" AND HE RUBBED HIS FACE ALL OVER MINE... SUNSHINE AND LOVE SPREAD THROUGH ME LIKE MELTING BUTTER THAT DAY. I STILL REMEMBER HIS SOFT HEAD AND FEATHERS. MAKES ME WANT TO CRY. IF YOU NEVER HAD A BIRD IT IS AN EXPERIENCE LIKE NO OTHER. I CAN NOT EXPLAIN. I ALWAYS WANTED A BIRD AND WOULD LONG TO HOLD ONE IN MY HANDS, SO I BOUGHT CLOWNIE, A CREME COLORED LUTINO. I WOULD TELL CLOWNIE I WISHED I COULD B A BIRDIE WITH HIM AND FLY AWAY. BUT I AM HUMAN AND NOW MY CLOWNIE IS GONE AFTER 17 YEARS. I STILL CRY AND DON'T THINK I WILL EVER GET OVER LOSING HIM COMPLETELY. I HAD TO MOVE TO CALIFORNIA, DROVE THERE IN MY CAR AND DIDN'T THINK CLOWNIE WOULD SURVIVE THE TRIP, SO I LEFT HIM WITH A FRIEND, THINKING I MIGHT SEND FOR HIM LATER. BUT HE DIED A COUPLE OF MONTHS AFTER I LEFT. THEY THINK IT WAS FROM A BROKEN HEART. MY SISTER BURIED CLOWNIE BY HER FRONT PORCH IN THE FLOWER BED, A LITTLE WHITE ROCK WITH HIS NAME ON IT TELLS THE STORY. NOW HE IS THAT, A LITTLE WHITE ROCK IN MY HEART. THANK YOU FOR LIKING THIS AND GOD BLESS YOU FOR YOUR THOUGHTS. I HOPE THE GOD OF THE ANGELS BLESSES YOU WITH LOVE AND THE FREEDOM OFF THE SKIES. SINSEERLY CHRISTINE BRAND

Steven Torrisi 31 Jul 2007

They say some pets look like their owners, but also that pets pick up traits from their owners. What is sure that when one dies the survivor never forget the other, and two become one. A mood and thought for what you beautifully translated into pictures.

Lovely. Christina Iam so sorry to hear about Clownie. I can empathise with how you feel. I have two cockatiels and two lovebirds living in my home. They each have their very own distinct personality and are very loving, funny, sweet, and wonderful. I can imagine your loss. You will never find another birdie like Clownie, but you could get yourself another cockatiel and build a new relationship. It won't be the same but could be just as rewarding.

Gary Sheldon 30 Jul 2007
