Living in a rural area, the annual county fair is still cause for great excitement around here. Every year we go and no matter what, every time I step into the grounds and am met with the familiar aromas of carnival food, I catch myself humming that old tune off Charlotte's Web..."The fair is a vertiable smorgasbord, smorgasbord after the lights go down....." Needless to say, my kids always pretend that they aren't with me if I start humming it too loud. God forbid I should actually break into song!
