Peacock feathers in Painted in Rainbow 1986-7

Info for the bigger piece seen in these photos.Size:140CM X 100CM.One most important project ,I made as a student,in 1986-7.These PEACOCK FEATHERS,Is a design for a Pareo, Part of huge collection for beach-wear..My first biggest design and the most complicated as well. You'll ask why ?...More then the huge scale, that it was planned for..but some might think this design was painted on black background...but it wasn't the case.In this specific case,I had to plan the negative spaces around the shapes that these feathers create.I mean first,I draw the outside shapes of the feathers...and then the Rainbow colours painted in ALL Area of the 2 pages...after that I painted the planed black background. My aim for perfection, made me paint this design twice. Here you can see the first one framed ,that was given to my parents as a present for their anniversary. One day I'll take shots of the second one, which to most eyes will maybe look the same, but its not framed,so it will show you this piece of ART,Differently. This collection was part of final yearly exhibition at my college (only 2 more projects of 2 other students were hanged)...The day after my father saw this hanged in that exhibition,he made for me my first huge table and gave me as a surprise. To be continued ...Thanks for viewing and commenting...enjoy your day!...Copyrights (c)Nira Dabush
