The first photo was taken that 1st day that we found the broken bridge, January 2004. We turned around that day, disappointed that our hike had been cut short. This was taken from a spot downstream from the bridge. The second photo was taken,(from upstream),in mid-July 2004, on a hike with my sister-in-law and 2 nephews. By then, the forest elves had added lumber to make the bridge crossable. The nephews really thought this was cool.... Next, the new bridge!!!
