Limar is a type of fabric, in the ancient Malay world. The make is extremely fine, almost impossible for anyone today to recreate with the same quality. Some kind of songket, it is rare now and is considered a very valuable antique. I thought i capture this intricate beauty onto canvas, but even that, copying the patterns is tedious enough, I cant imagine how those people did the weaving, then. That's why mine is undone...
