watching and waiting

This is my latest endeavour after about a 2 year break while menapause did it's thing with my sight. I can now see the details of what I'm scratching with magnifying glasses and it feels good to be back in the saddle so to speak. Much as I love doing owls the feathering drives me squirrelly(fur is just so much easier to do) but I enjoy the challenge. The original is 11"x14" (28x35.5cm)I'd say there's about 30% loss of detail on the screen image. This one took about 16 hours over the course of 4 days to do.

Wow! This is really a fine piece of avian art. Love the pose texture and feather detail.

Lovely owls, Sheila. My dad is a big collector of all things owls. He is also a member of ArtWanted. (Seth Weaver)
