A female cardinal keeping warm by the food. The winds were cold and harsh this day so most of the birds stayed on the ground.

cute and interesting image.. would have been nice to see a closer view of her, but having to shoot my own wildlife..I know it is not always easy to get it with out them running or flying off . She does have pretty coloration to her..

Artist Reply: Thanks for the feedback on this Gary. I have a closer shot of her looking toward me posted on my profile. This one I felt I was to far away. I love to sit & watch them. We have four male cardinals and 6 female cardinals that are courting each other. Makes for beautiful entertainment to watch them fly and hop about. :-) Thanks again!
