White Zinfandel

White Zinfandel - somebody told me once that my paintings were the artworld's equivalent of "White Zinfandel." They meant it as an insult - 'cos some people say that it's not a "real wine", it's just a crowd-pleaser, etc. But hey - like cheap wine & I like art that makes me happy. So here's to White Zinfandel! A beautiful tipsy fairy and a Greenman/ Bacchus character too. 24"x18" acrylic painting on canvas. © 2006 by Jasmine Becket-Griffith. All rights reserved. Beautiful

How fantastic - to respond to an insult by turning it into something beautiful! I have a lot of respect for people who can do that.
