Palayan Sunset

A practise painting, (pastel on a light grade of watercolor paper,) that I made; based on one of my own photographs of a rice-field, or "palayan" at planting time in Mindanao, Southern Philippines.

Artist Reply: Hmmm... Somehow I can feel the damp, warm climate when I look at this one. And the colors are pretty impressionistic but I see a lot of color in Mindanao... I can't wait to get back there!!!
