This was a beautiful setting on a river bank I was walking along on my recent vacation to California. I love rocks, and just loved this section of the river bank. It had a feel to it that was serene and peaceful. I love natural elements. Though this part was so peaceful, there has been a problem nearby due to the nearby rockslide. The Merced River flows down from the falls in Yosemite National Park and down through Mariposa into Merced. The river bank has many different looks and I will be posting several areas of interests. There was a huge rock slide this year that blocked the road to a major entrance to the park. They had to build a temporary bridge. The slide is still active and drops boulders at times the size of small cars. It will be monitored for 2 years to decide what needs to be done. This area has had past slides. This is about a mile from where this bank is.
