Glastonbury Abbey

I have just returned from a great vacation in England.. my mother country. The weather was beautiful with cool fresh mornings followed by long sunny and warm days. There I toured many places including here at Glastonbury Abbey, in Somerset in the SW of England . It is said by many to be the Holiest Earthe in all England. It is recorded that Joseph of Arimathea brought a young Jesus to this place where they stayed and built a church. The Hymn Jerusalem celebrates this event: And did those feet in ancient times Walk upon England's mountains green? And was the Holy Lamb of God On England's pleasant pastures seen? Joseph plunged a staff into the ground and it flowered and still flowers to this day. The stone abbey was built in the 11th century, although now in ruins it has a still a grace and beauty to it. Glastonbury is also the site of the legends of King Arthur and Avalon. I have been there many times and for me it is always a spiritual revisit .. and I will go again
