We like to climb this hill above Summit Lake and usually sit above the rockface to the right of center just below the horizon. If you continue hiking to the left you come to an amazing view of the Carbon River valley below and far, far beyond. Then you continue down the other side of the lake to the main trail back to the trailhead, 2 miles away. The second photo is the hillside to our right as we eat our peanut butter and jelly sandwich and trail mix. On this day a deer crossed in and out of the trees to the left and below us. Life is grand!!! :)
