Army 3rd Platoon white fire

(c) 2006 Elton Houck... "Army: 3rd Platoon white fire " (from the series "WHEN JHONNIE COMES MARCHING HOME AGAIN"

"

.This is a photo reworked via scanology. The central subject is my father's outfit the 3rd platoon flaunting their weapons ( the 20th century equalivant to the ancient practice of 'sword rattling/ and other gung-ho acts of bravado..This is all part of the basic training to prepare for the real thing when the group ships overseas to the battlefront.

This was taken at Fort Lewis in Washington in 1942 before my dad was shipped overseas to fight in WWII (the 2nd "WAR TO END ALL WARS"). This feat will never be accomplished until Jesus puts an end to war and then rules the world for a 1,000 years of peace at which time men will not even remember war anymore!

.This is part of my SCANOLOGY process...The original work )in this particular case) is a photograph which is scanned...and then the real work begins to enhance the image using only the scanner without any additional hardware...I hope the final rendition of this work is pleasing and satisfactory to my viewers. Many thanks for your comments and your support of my scanology and other "off the wall" art proceedures and endeavors. ...

The saga continues....for how long, only God knows!
