Brenda, this is wonderful!! This is very much like one of the trees I use in my 3D renderings!! Excellent capture of a beautiful valley, with the old tree and birds overhead!! Awesome work!!! ~S

Artist Reply: thanks for all your nice remarks, Susan! one note though, those are not birds in the distance as you might think, but rather they are bees buzzing close to the tree leading me to think there is a hive in there :)

This is a very beautiful natural sculpture. I am impressed with interplay of dark and light in the hollow spaces. The fact that it is a solitary image that probably has lived for ages adds to the power of this image. At first glance, I saw the dark shadow of a man's head climbing up the hollow tree on the upper right. These kind of images are so much fun to view, a playing field for the imagination.

Artist Reply: thanks for taking the time to view and comment, Julie! now I see what you are talking about...check out Ponder Windmill 1 in my Windmills sub-gallery; bet you'll see something in the clouds!

Love this sort of image Brenda.. I always find myself wondering how long it's been there?, what tales could it tell?.. Nice one..:-)
