Hello Elton! Just got back from Istanbul full of inspiration and ideas. This painting reminds me of some of the intricate work on the domed ceiling of the Hagia Sofia. A former christian cathedral which still has some amazing byzantine icons on the walls in frescoes. Somehow there's a sense of being looked down on from a great height here. The bold colours convey a feeling of strength and purpose. A very well balanced composition. Love it! (you and your wife look lovely in your biopic)
