A Rose for Nancy

Today I spent time with my very busy daughter Nancy. I enjoyed going to dinner with her and catching up with her. She works very hard at her job, and is very good at it as well. I miss not having her living at home, even if she's just an hour away. She is such a beauty, if a flower, she'd be a rose. There are so many layers to her persnality, so many hidden qualities and strengths. Often others see just her looks, and not into her heart. She is a lovey young woman to behold, full of humor and wit. The sun shines down on her, although she knows it not. Her heart has had trials, so she puts out her thorns, yet, the one who tends her with love, she'll surround them in her love. My child of my heart, I'd grant all the wishes I could. For now, I share with you this mere painting. I can not express my love for you as I'd love to write and to show. My beautiful daughter, my little rose. I love you Nancy! (This was entirely digitally painted, not a photo manipulation in any way. I used a Wacom tablet w/stylus and Corel Painter IX.5 software.)

As always you take some lovely fotos....I've just posted as well....Again super photo...

Artist Reply: Thanks Tazda! My digital paintings print out fanstastic on photo paper or matte. I like the gloss prints myself usually for something like this one. I didn't have time to put in a close up, will try later if I can. Family visiting and I will be packing up for my trip.

You are a very sweet woman, Terry - this is the most wonderful and thoughtful gift for your very fortunate daughter.

Artist Reply: Thanks Joseph! Daughters should be tresured and told in as many ways you can they are loved. Sometimes I sent notes, make a card to let her know what I fell. Sometimes, like this, a painting to express some of what I feel and can not put down into words.
