Desert Spring Booms

This is a photo I took while out today. The fluffy bush in the front is called a bottle brush tree. (Like the kind you use to scrub out a baby bottle). The yellow tree flowering in the back is a native desert tree, called a Palo Verde ("green Tree"), it's bark has a green color to it. It's SPring in the desert, and I wanted to start to show some of the beauty. I couldn't get any closer to this bush for a close up, I'm allergic to this kind in particular. I had to settle for a zoom shot from my car. SOmtimes the blooms on the bush can get longer than your fingers and are very pretty.

WoW!! three opposing colors....yet still wonderfully complimentary.

Artist Reply: Thank you! I wanted to get some photos of these bottle brush blooms, but can't go near them to much due to allergies. The Palo Verde tree beyind it is in full bloom. The desert can be so beautiful when it's spring.

I never seen these kinds of flowers bushes before. Thanks for sharing, they are real pretty.

Artist Reply: Thank you! You are very welcome. They can grow as large as a one story house, from the one's I've seen. The blooms are about a dollar sized coin across, and about 4 inches long.
