Skull (sweet potato, fresh)

A skull carved in sweet potato. The skull is fresh in the picture - the artwork isn't really done until the potato dries out. Sweet potato carving is an interesting medium. The material is soft and easy to carve, but dries as hard as wood. It shrinks and wrinkles as it dries.
