Doug's Grandpa

14x17; 100# bristol paper - various leads & mechanical pencil. Had fun doing this one as it had many different textures to try and project, the rope being the hardest. His eyes were slightly a challenge as the photo just showed them as white reflections. But I was pleased with the outcome - as I hope the client will be too. PS the client also does awesome metal works. One last thing, picture was too big for my scanner - so photo is somewhat unsteady - but you get the general idea of the portrait.
