West of the Fields

18x24" acrylic painting. I used a photo of a horse by Bob Langrish as a reference, but it is not a copy of his photo. You can see how the painting progressed step by step here: http://www.deviantart.com/view/27133688/ While there are some anatomy problems, I think it turned out pretty well - considering how hard things are to fix sometimes at certain points.
