Mrs. Carolyn Rockwell (Gifted)

Mrs. Carolyn Rockwell recently died. She was strong willed, dynamic woman who loved her family and the Kent House, a local historic Antebellum home. She had great taste, except in glasses. Her funeral was a touching tribute to a remarkable woman. This painting was given to her family.

Excellent gift david, so thoughtful of you to give this work to the family!

Artist Reply: The family sat the portrait up on a couch in the living room for Christmas because Mimi, as the grandchildren called her, always loved Christmas.

Hello David! Sorry I'm late. (not been very well!) What a very touching and personal portrait. She has a very strong face and her strength shows in her determined chin and sparkling eyes. Love those glasses, they really go with the earrings. Love the reds, they hint at a powerful personality and strength of character. I really like the view of the sky through the trees and deep shadow across the roof. I love everything about this painting. It has everything for me. Brilliant artwork!
