shell on copper

A pewter shell mounted on a copper base. The intricate patterns on the shell are caused by tiny organisms that inhabit the shell after the animal has died and so making the host shell vacant. No two are ever the same, it shows the beauty of nature that we never ever see. The inside of the shell has been cast in Pewter and then the shell is removed. A unique and beautiful form. This is for sale. Please feel free to contact me. [email protected] Many thanks, Clive
