Gene From The Faded B&W

I couldn't resist! The boy is stunning and I'm about to hit my insanely, hectic time of year where I'm lucky if I have time to breath. So I took advantage of a couple hours free time while my students had ACT testing. It's mixed technique - pen & ink (stipple, line weight and solid painted ink)

something about this picture seems truly moving. the dramatic use of light, perhaps. i really like this portrait, the shadows on the face and the expression, it all plays in so well for a beautiful picture.
