Only under close evaluation and careful consideration do you get the message I am trying to convey with this painting. I painted this over a period of several months as a source of relaxation between sessions on more disciplined subject matter and thoroughly enjoyed the process. I will be painting a series of paintings conveying attitudes that people have and reflecting the perspective of the individual and hope that you will bookmark my portfolio page so you can be kept up to date on their releases. This in addition to all of my work will be made available for sale in print and Giclee's in the near future at www.clarerowley.com This painting is divided into 2 parts... the left reflects the female and the right the male.. under close inspection you will see the male representation on the lower right and the sperm that is present in the upper right side. The female is represented by the breast-like Yen-yang and the shapes that represent the ovary and uterus. She has her eyes closed as she is indifferent to the advances of the men that continue to approach her. They decorate themselves with tattoos and hairstyles to gain her attention and continue to advance and as they are indifferent to the fact that she is indifferent to them. The spheres represent life.. and will be present in different ways within each of the 12 attitudes that I am completing. Hope you enjoy this....
