This is a colored pencil painting based on a photograph that I took while having lunch one day with my wife, Sue, in Brewhemia, a local café located in the NewBo district of Cedar Rapids, Iowa. The food was great and the coffee even better! I am especially fond of coffee and couldn't help but notice the wonderful collection of so called "coffee pots" they have displayed. This painting is based on the photograph of this collection. I found that the brick background and the wonderful lighting of the display really made a still life piece that I just could not pass up. This piece is entitled "Taster's Choice" and is done on museum quality Grafix drafting film using Farber-Castell Polychromos and KOH-I-NOOR pencils. The size of the artwork is 11 X 14 inches.
