It's so relaxing to sit on a bench in Cedar Lake watching the lake and resting while viewing the car show sponsored by the Fire Dept., or car show a month earlier, or after viewing the Red Cedar's Museum, or summerfest activities, or any time. Cedar Lake is a nice place to visit just watching people enjoying themselves on the lake. There is a small beach near the Museum and restaurant, that is rather expensive. It's by the town complex. Harry O's restaurant just south of 41 and Lake Shore Drive has good food at reasonable prices, but alas, no lake view. Near the Dairy Queen going west a mile or so, you can park and watch the lake. I recommend the pineapple milk shake, my favorite. My brother has won some trophies for his cars. I love Cedar Lake, IN.
