"My James Dean," c.2014,...for all of my artist friends, fans and family, who think I can never be totally serious! My profile pencil sketch, completed on an 11" x 14" canvas board, yesterday...by Mark Kokopelli Watkins, one of my fellow Hoosiers! "My James Dean, c. 2014, my body-shot pencil sketch on 11" x 14" canvas board of James Dean. To me, he is not a film icon...he has always been an inspiration for follow my dreams, especially as an actor/writer/artist and person willing to take some chances on seeing their dream come true!! And with out mentioning any of them, most all of them have come true. Some pain some sorrow, but many joys for me in these careers since I was on stage since I was in the 4th Grade while attending 1st-8th grades @ George W. Julian School #57 here in Historic Irvington,..."My James Dean," c.2014, profile pencil sketch, on canvas board,of one of my film heroes, also a professional actor from the great state of Indiana!! I was born in Lexington, KY,.........but grew up in Indy

very beautiful work pencil...

Artist Reply: Maria Anna...how wonderful of you to respond to one of my favorite pencil sketches! I live in Indianapolis, IN, and he was from Indiana! I was always impressed with his ability to learn new acting skills...he had a great film look and he loved to drive race cars and so do I!!! :) that's because Indy is so flat and there is a long tradition of classic racing...The Indy 500!! and all kinds of other professional races. Thanks for your support! Blessings Mark!
