Artist comment: "I am always amazed and awed by the innovative 'kites' and floating creatures that turn up at kite festivals. This recent design was irresistible to me. I photographed it and later, in my studio, painted it with pastel on Canson Mi-Teintes textured paper. I had as much fun painting it as I had watching it as it seemed to move across the sand on it's fabric claws!"
