Artist comment: "The kites that are displayed at the kite festivals seem to get more creative and unique every year. This pair of 'manta' kites was fascinating! Using a 'state of the art' digital camera, my husband captures them in a synchronised 'dance routine'! In my studio, I transferred the image to a sheet of textured Canson Mi-Teintes paper. I painted the sky, then began the intricate patterns. Finally I linked them to the ground with the many lines that joined a larger line. Once again the kite festival was a huge success. Once again my pastel painting brought me great joy and satisfaction."

"Double Manta's" is a limited edition, giclée print from an original pastel painting by Carol Thompson. Edition length is 3600 authorized, signed, limited edition prints (3500 numbered and 100 artist proofs). Prints on paper are signed and numbered by Carol Thompson, include a signed certificate of authenticity, and are shrink wrapped on fome board.
