Definitely a labor of love, this piece, as any piece, has its good points with me and its bad. It's an 18"x24" watercolor on vellum Bristol. The theme is she is the last warrior standing on some far-flung future { or perhaps ancient } battlefield on Mars. A sci-fi twist on the Norse myth of the valkyries, look to see more refined incarnations of this character in the future. ARANNA/ THE LAST VALKYRIE are trademark and copyright2004 Christopher Gray. It's wonderful, I love your use of watercolours, but that sword could do with some darker bars across it to show that it reflects.Hinsel Scott 27 Oct 2004
very interesting ! when i saw the first drafts of this i thought for sure it was to be of digital medium! i like what you have done however! watercolors are especially challenging. the colors are excellent - very futuristic but i might suggest a little more darkness between fore and background. keep creating !!!Sherrie Kostura 27 Oct 2004

WOW Christopher! I really like the colors, not the typical predictable colors that most use I like that lighter softer colors on a powerful piece. I like the contrast of the jett back hair with the pastel colors. Nice work!Hilton Harris 25 Oct 2004
