Heading for Christmas

You! Forester to me ahead,
I wonder what you’re eyes are looking.
Is your heart inside so honest,
or is in mind just something cooking?
I know that Christmas coming soon
and that you’re walking through the woods.
I’m sure you find the way I walked,
there back where lies my roots.
When soon the snow is falling down
and the world will color white,
I’ll be trailing for my food,
that I hope you left behind.
