I never saw the bird outside my house this morning as I sat down to do some work, but I thought to myself that its song seemed very aggressive, so...I imagined how aggressive a suitor he might be. ;) I used mostly w/c, with some felt-tip and gel pen. Image area is 6 by 6 inches. Original Jones Art from Austin, Texas.

i like this charles reminds me of all the birds fighting over a place to nest this time of year. i was just bombed by one of these yesterday while working in the yard.

Artist Reply: Well, I had to post something or pop, Curtis. There was a certain Mr. Wood who was posting multiple images on a pretty regular basis and I felt like I was slipping. ;) I think they get a kick out of 'bombing' us, BTW.

Yes, I will avoid this Boid! It looks Upset! A Fantastic Work of Art with Great Flow & Color, Charles!!!!!!!!!!

Artist Reply: Hey, Chris! Nice to hear from you. Yeah, this one pretty much wholly hatched, as it were. ;)

So much depth to this piece I like this very much! You Really have got good flow as a Sureal painter! Excellent composition and great use of colors! Beautiful and So Very Well done & Keep up the good work !

Artist Reply: Thanks for such a great comment, John! I'd been stuck in a gallery during a studio tour yesterday and got up and started this today. I thought it had a bit more movement than some of mine. For a change I had the title first this go-around. Hope you are your usual creative self. :)
