It is bittersweet just how many requests I get for the 'over the bridge' type paintings. The loss of a pet can be so heart-wrenching. Those of us lucky enough to have our lives blessed by the presence of a canine companion sadly know just how it feels. But even in our grief we can take comfort in old Tennyson's wisdom--it truly is better to have loved and lost than never loved at all. Can you imagine never knowing the love and friendship of a dog?
