Because my son likes Christmas lights. What started with "can I have a string of lights for my room--they're so pwretty" at three years old has grown into a full-fledged, twinkling, flashing, sparkling extravaganza. Eleven years later and my quaint little home in the country is now visible from satellite imagery. Thanks to some kind-hearted souls who so generously offer free and make-an-offer boxes bulging with discarded holiday lights and one of those brains that can fix anything that is more than likely wrong with said lights, nothing is safe in our yard. Last week he was stringing them on the stable--I cut him off when he sarted eyeing the horse. So this one is for you Ike--shine on my boy!
