Eternal Wave # 1 (temp.title) My newest Batik on satin silk collection ( 22" h x 30" w ) This theme was inspired from a recent article I saw in Yahoo news that showed some fenomenal photographic images of these "monstrous" waves that occurs only once a year near or in the vacinity of Tasmania way down under in Aussie Land. It is concsidered a surfers nightmare as the waves are sooo enormous & comes in layers (wave on top of a wave) where it is practically almost impossible to ride on! Way more threatening than any monstrous waves of the Hawaii Islands. Now, I've seen plenty of incredible waves in my lifetime whether it be in the real or thru photo images elsewhere but I never seen photos of these incredible waves like the ones I saw recently. Sooo as a huge fan of ocean wave sceneries, I was compeled & rather obsessed to start a new series based on these photo images...such power, magnificance & surreal jst overwhelmes me...it's like seein the hand of GOD to me or somethin to that effect...hope you can relate:D
