These particular kites are attached together by a double strand of strong string and can be made to perform aerobatic maneuvers by manipulating the hand held bar to which they are attached."

Artist comment: "My husband and two sons took turns flying a 'rainbow' stack of seven TRLBY kites as I photographed the scene with a future painting in mind. With oil, I sketched the composition loosely, then proceeded to paint sky and sea and sand, leaving the details white. I carefully rendered the kites and tails. Finally I painted the figures on the beach. I like the way the warm sand compliments the bright kites."
