In case you can't tell from the name of my studio, I like roses. A lot. I've been collecting antique varieties all of my adult life and though my husband is convinced I have run out of room, I always manage to squeeze in a couple more. Silly man. One of the best thing about antique roses is their fragrance, or rather, their variety of fragrance. Many a June evening has found me strolling along boring one of my kids with my not-so-vast knowledge of roses, stopping to smell each one. I realized with a painful gulp the other day that it has been years since my youngest has asked me to lift her up to smell the tree roses. I'm fairly certain even if she did, (she's way too cool now) I couldn't any more. My goodness, time goes by. So this one goes out to my kidlets.....may you always stop and smell the roses....remember me when you do. Sniff, sniff. They hate it when I get nostalgic. Original 4 x 4 gallery-wrapped mini painting in the private collection of K. Kellerman.
