Scavengers

This painting is a little different for me - a very limited palette with only hints of colour - a post-apocalyptic scene with a cyberpunk / steampunk sorta feel to it - featuring some beautiful vultures! The term scavengers in this case refers to the girl (an urban fairy with vulture wings) and her vulture friends - all digging through the remnants of a doomed civilization. I got the idea for this one simply by stumbling across two sweet vultures by my house - they were being very sweet, nuzzling each other like lovebirds - it struck me that they might make for good friends in the right situation. This is my own original acrylic painting. ©Jasmine Becket-Griffith Prints are available at http://www.strangeling.com or http://www.zazzle.com/strangeling*

How stunning and the text and elegant style. She is a radiant, enjoyable and glowing image of a not so heavenly Angel The color scheme is great; not too transcendent.
