Avalon

The Holy Grail is one of the most intriguing mysteries of all time. It's powers are able to heal man and supply food for thousands; anyone that drinks from the grail is rewarded with eternal life. Avalon is the Celtic word for the Other World and is supposedly one of the places that the Holy Grail was hidden while waiting for the third Grail Keeper, Alain. In this painting I am portraying Avalon and the symbolism of The Holy Grail. The text on my version of the Shroud of Turin reads as "Drink my Blood For Eternal Life". Oil 30" x 24"

Interesting work...it is fun to speculate ...at any rate...the Holy Grail would be such a treasured thing to find...but the real treasure is the cross and the Resurrection of Jesus Christ...

I AM A BUDDHIST. IN THEORY BUDDHISM ACCEPT ALL RELIGIONS. PERSONALLY, I HAVE TROUBLE WITH THE KILLING OF OTHER BEINGS THAT THE CHURCH PROMOTES BY SAYING THAT GOD GIVES US THE ANIMALS TO DO AS WE PLEASE. I ALWAYS READ IT TO MEAN THAT GOD GIVE THE POWER TO PROTECT ALL LIFE. SOME TRIBES IN AFRICA LIVE BY DRINKING THE BLOOD OF THEIR ANIMALS, WITHOUT KILLING THEM. I'M O.K. WITH THIS. YOUR IMAGE IS MODERN, CREATIVE, AND ORIGINAL.
