Day to Night - Night to Day - Derek Paul - Ojibway

DAY to NIGHT - NIGHT to DAY 02/27/11 Hoka Hai I am trying to show the aura of the sweat lodge. To me the lodge represents our Mother Earth, from which we all came. It is a place of healing, of being at one with Mother Earth. It is also a place of humbleness. When I participate in a ceremony. First the darkness, then as the Grandfathers (heated rocks) are brought in, it is then I feel the true power of the earth. This painting honors both day and night and how they are intermingled with one another. Enjoy... as I did, creating this piece. 16"X20" ALL MY RELATIONS !!! Chi, Mee gwetch!!! , (Thank you, very much!!!) It was nice to meet you tonight. It’s a very bold use of colour that I admire about your work. Art
