As all you see and most you know:
my mermaids are my fun.
Don’t ask me how it started.
I don’t know when it once begun.
And yes I’ve seen her little statue,
in Copenhagen’s harbor light.
And if you say: “It comes from books!”
You might have also there be right.
It’s a figure… fascinating!
A mermaid, paddle with her tail.
And how many I’ve designed,
I did not ever give them names.
It is all the time illusions!
Who knows they even do exist!
There might be also much more legends,
because they always faint in mist.
