balck walnut and koa table

the black walnut for this table came from a tree cut down to make room for urban development. i milled the logs from the tree into lumber. the wood has been sticker stacked and air dried for 7 years. the book matched koa top came from the burn barrel of a wood shop in hawaii 10 years ago. the white inlay and beading on the apron is recycled maple. lots and lots of sanding to bring out the grain of the wood. the finish use is 6 coats of all natural beeswax, sweet orange oil and pure linseed oil. this creation is of my own design. i only use reclaimed trees and recycled hardwoods for all my creations. 20" X 17" 30 1/4" tall feel free to contact me on custom orders. i can work with you to design and build a piece of furniture to fit your space and needs.
