Room With A View

The day was long and tiring with little time to rest. Now dinner is bubbling away, Im sipping hot tea and my aches and pains are fading. Time to rest, enjoy the moment and the isolation I find myself in. The last of the days light fades on the western horizon. Ten stars become a thousand, become a million, become the sky. Mesmorised by mountain TV, I stare out to infinity, reaching out to what lies beyond. Earth calls as my packet pasta bubbles furiously. With grated cheese I feed my hunger and refuel. Has food ever tasted this good? Has the sky ever looked this good? Have I ever felt so content? I can wait for tomorrow and embrace today, seize the moment. With my thirst for adventure quenched, soundly I sleep surrounded by snowy giants.
