I met a fairy in the wood
and talked about her life.
She told me: “I am watching here,
that this candle, here, shines bright”.
“The fairy queen, she ordered me,
to stay in here and watch,
so that no wind or something else
could this lightened candle touch”.
“It is a sign for holding on,
who live inside the dark”.
“For those, who lost their destiny,
it is there as gloom and as their spark”.
I left her there and new the reason,
why this little fairy stayed.
I promised her “I light a candle”,
every evening in my prayers.
