The standard commission is calculated by taking the retail price, minus the base price and then splitting this amount 50/50.
For example, the base price on an 8x10 print is $2.95 and our default retail price is $12.95. For every 8x10 you sold, you would make $5.00 ($12.95-$2.95)/2
If you set a custom price for your prints that is at least double our default price, we will lower our commissions to 25%. In this scenario, you would make 75% of the profit after the base price is taken out.
For example, if you sell the 8x10 print for $25.95 your commission would be $17.25 ($25.95-$2.95)*75%
The ArtWanted.com portion goes to cover the server hardware, bandwidth, office staff, printing hardware, printing supplies, credit card fees, commission tracking and all of the other expenses to run the program.
