the northwest is burning...smoke is terrible...vis down to 300 years Cassie and I stay inside with the air purifier we considered the RV however the smoke blankets all directions for 500 miles + this summer is lost....though Texas has it worse we pray for rain!

Summer has arrived. Next week Cassie and I enter the Wilderness. Yesterday I roamed > 7 miles and ascended to 8000 feet with no problem. not bad for one north of three score and ten....

this morning Cassie and I depart for Glacier National Park. It isn't open yet (we will have access) so no tourists and wondering folks ! However the bears, all species, are emerging from hibernation. They awake and are quite groggy for several days and wonder about eating grass. This is necessary to re-atart their digestive processes...wish us well!
the Eagles are mating! Soon Mama Eagle will nest and sit for about 41 days until the babies arrive. The the work begins feeding them. Of course the trout spawn will slip in and be a bloody free for all...including the wolves who arrive with the night to feast on the trout left by their friends the Eagles
