I was born in 1951, on the Wirral Peninsular UK. I am married with two grown up sons. From childhood I have always enjoyed drawing and painting, this developed into painting in oils on canvas, working on my own subjects, style and technique. During the mid seventies I started to exhibit and sell my work, this led to a career change from my job in engineering, to study fine art from 1983-1986, the following year I became a full time artist, working on commissions, solo and group exhibitions. We moved in 2000 to live and work in the Welsh countryside, where wildlife and rural landscape subjects, are immediately at hand, to be depicted in my paintings, which are mainly acrylic on canvas. I have exhibited and sold at numerous galleries over the years, including the Royal Institute exhibitions in London. My work hangs in public and private collections throughout the UK, USA, Europe and Australia. I have been fortunate to achieve awards for my paintings, on a local and national level. I also produce a range of greetings cards and prints, from some of the more popular images, painted over the past few years.
