Click for larger view I worked for a year as Director of Operations of a dive operation in Santo, Vanuatu. Almost everyone came to Santo to dive the wreck of the 650' President Coolidge. While there I logged more than 150 dives on the wreck itself, with many highlight reel dives. MIllion Dollar Point was also a very popular dive site and got it's name when the US Forces pushed an estimated 1,000,000.00 worth of construction equipment and materials into the ocean. Two images in my underwater/sealife gallery "Truck Lagoon" (not to be confused with Truk Lagoon) and "Bulldozer City" were taken at Million Dollar Point.

In 1992 I was living and working in Phuket, Thailand. I was the photo pro on the Marina Divers liveaboard dive boat, "Albatross". I lived on the island year round so I was there to take in the Phuket Vegetarian Festival which happened during low season. The first year I was there I found the event a little freaky and was shooting more from the sidelines. The second year I felt more able to get into the action and got some close up shots of some of the festival particiapants. I don't endorse the spirit over the flesh aspect of the event, for me spirit must balance with the flesh but most modern religons seem to put spirit on a pedestal and tell us that the flesh is weak and should be overcome. That isn't what I personally believe but I share images of the event.
