Self Portrait

A lifelong resident of Indiana and father of three, Rob Ryan enjoys most, the time he gets to spend with his family. Rob is a graduate of Anderson University and holds a BA in Graphic Design with a minor in Biology. Rob has always held nature in the highest regards and has worked his lifetime attempting to emulate the beauty and wonder he finds throughout the natural world. Rob found his true love of marine life while studying marine biology in the Florida Keys while attending school through Goshen College during his earliest academic years. Rob eventually went on to gain his PADI open water certification and now dives recreationally as often as possible. Robs subject matter stems from the images he captures first hand. If appropriate, Rob takes these images and works them into the basis for illustrations or paintings. Rob currently serves on the Eagle Creek Fine Art Committee and has exhibited in the following juried shows: Renditions and Celebration of Nature. Rob is a conservation activist belonging to groups such as NRDC, the Oceanic Society and most recently REEF. Rob has long admired the work and commitment of the renowned Captain Jacques-Yves Cousteau and Sylvia Earle as well as the literary works of Sue Hubbell and hopes to continue developing his talents as an artist while sharing his insights into the world around us.
